Visit Odense

VisitOdense
Narrow cobbled streets, intimate cafés and restaurants, wide-ranging cultural events all year round – theatres that get people up off the sofa from many miles away, a music centre, international festivals and Arena Fyn, which can seat thousands of spectators for world-class sports events and concerts. All of this is part of Odense’s charm.

Andersen and Nielsen
Two very ordinary Danish names, or maybe not. With first names Hans Christian and Carl in front of them, they have certainly put Odense on the world map, each in his own way. The town has two museums dedicated to the writer. Here you can get right up close to Hans Christian Andersen’s life and works, which are still read all over the world in more than 130 different languages. Music was Carl Nielsen’s language, and he was particularly good at putting spring on Fyn to music.

Shopping in Odense
Denmark's third largest city offers shopping possibilities for everybody. Our busy high street and the smaller side streets offer a variety of small shops - and if it rains of course the Rosengård Center is a natural choice.
