At DANISA DENMARK OPEN 2018 presented by VICTOR, it is not only the prize total of staggering US$ 775.000 that is at stake. It is also the chance to make it into the history books among some of the greatest players of all time.

What do some of the greatest badminton players of all time, like Peter Gade, Kamilla Rytter Juhl, Morten Frost, Lene Køppen and Lin Dan, have in common?

Aside from being legends of the sport, they have all entered the history books as a winner of DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR – the second oldest international badminton tournament on the planet.

When the first edition of the tournament was launched in 1935 the winner’s podium was taken all up by Danes. But as the sport and the aging tournament have grown the rivalry for a place in the spotlight has become international.

At DANISA DENMARK OPEN 2017 presented by VICTOR, the winners came from no less than five different countries. And now they have entered the history books among badminton icons and former of DANISA DENMARK OPEN presented by VICTOR-winners like Camilla Martin and Poul-Erik Høyer.

This year the stars are competing for a prize total of staggering US$ 775.000. Through the years the prize total has been steadily increasing and today it is, in fact, the fifth biggest on the BWF World Tour.

Who will make it through to the history books as the winner of the legendary Danish tournament as well as take home the more than just peanuts prize money, we will find out from 16th to 21st October in Hans Christian Andersen’s hometown, Odense.
